In The Realm Of The Senses (1976) BRRIP 1080P Uncut

one of the great pleasures of the "brrip" edition is the inclusion of the "original theatrical trailer." this trailer is also the most difficult to find, and the best is that it is featured in the trailer itself, and not buried in the extras. it gives a great sense of the marketing of the film and how the trailers were used to help sell the film. the trailer itself also includes some alternate footage, which as i have mentioned before, also appears in the extras of the brrip release.

In The Realm Of The Senses (1976) BRRIP 1080P Uncut

the release of this film has been a long time coming. criterion has been releasing many of the oshima films on the criterion label for many years. the title of the brrip release is "in the realm of the senses," but the release has been in development for well over a decade. the first release was in the uk in 1991, but it was a standard definition video release that was heavily edited and lacked any supplemental material. in 2006, criterion released the first complete restoration of the film and included the original theatrical trailer. the release was a blu-ray in the united states, but the brrip release includes a dvd, and the blu-ray is region free. the dvd includes the same supplemental material, and the blu-ray includes the same supplemental material as the previous release, but in 1080p high definition. the first brrip release included an audio commentary by toshio matsumoto. the "brrip" edition is the first to include a new audio commentary by director nagisa oshima. this is the final complete commentary on the release. it is joined by a new video interview with oshima, and a new video interview with screenwriter michiko yokote.
