[S1E2] Skinny Is Magic

Unlike previous incarnations, Sabrina Spellman in this series is depicted as a 12-year-old attending middle school. As in the original comic series, Sabrina lives with her paternal witch aunts, Hilda Spellman and Zelda Spellman and her loud-mouthed black cat Salem Saberhagen, all of whom advise Sabrina on the use of several magics. Most episodes center on the typical issues of middle school, along with those that emanated from Sabrina's inexperience with or misuse of several magic, witchcraft and extremely powerful and complex spells. Sabrina and her best friend Chloe would often use magic (often from the "Spooky Jar"; a cookie jar containing a genie-like being in the family's kitchen) for all types of perceived emergencies, ranging from trying to fit into skinny new clothes to turning Sabrina's crush Harvey into a superhero. By the end of each episode, her innate magical abilities would unintentionally backfire and Sabrina would learn that using magic usually is not the solution to her everyday issues.

His clothes are formal, and predominantly black but include a white shirt with a tall, stiff collar (HRH collar). On top of this he wears a black skinny tie (low on the collar), black skinny trousers and pointed shoes, as well as a distinctive jacket. The jacket resembles a standard suit jacket around the chest and shoulders, although it has long sleeves with flared, pointed cuffs, and the jacket's skirt is similarly long (mid-thigh length) and shaped so that it comes to a point at the front. The jacket is fastened with two short button straps around the waist.

True to his word, Klarion returned to Atlantis exactly 1,000 years later, where at this point the once primitive village had grown into a sprawling, hyper-advance metropolis that served as the capital of a continent spanning kingdom. Vandar Adg, now going by the name Varl'jat, proposed a new bargain with the Chaos Lord, where he allowed him to destroy Atlantis by sinking it into the ocean. Klarion readily accepted the task and unleashed his magic, destroying Atlantis and killing tens of thousands of Atlanteans including Arion, Varl'jat's grandson and ruler of Atlantis. Greatly enjoying the chaos he unleashed, Klarion, and by extension the Lords of Chaos, were not satisfied with the destruction of just one city. As such, Klarion continued to wreak havoc, ultimately destroying the entire Atlantean civilization by causing the continent it sat on to sink into the ocean, much to Varl'jat's shock. Nevertheless, Klarion continued to partner with Varl'jat, hoping to be able to continue to cause chaos and destruction through him.[12]

Enlisting the talents of the faux magician Abra Kadabra, the pair attempted to locate and steal the Helmet of Fate from Kent Nelson to permanently neutralize Nabu.[18] While they managed to capture Nelson, he refused to divulge any information about where he had stored the Helmet despite Kadabra's torturing him.

When Wally and Kent went to retrieve the Helmet of Fate, Klarion and Teekl managed to follow, during which Klarion hit Kent with a magical blast, killing him. Wally then proceeded to put on the Helmet of Fate, allowing for Nabu to take control of his body, transforming them into a new Doctor Fate. Klarion and Fate did battle, but eventually Klarion was forced to retreat when Fate attacked and gravely injured Teekl.

Zatanna and the Team were on to him, but they were outmatched. Klarion easily deflected Zatanna's "baby magic", and transformed his familiar to battle the others. After Zatanna put on the Helmet of Fate, the tide changed, though Klarion noticed Nabu had trouble keeping himself stable in the separated dimensions. Eventually, the Lord of Order prevailed: Fate bound Klarion, but it was of short duration. After the separation spell had been undone, Klarion escaped and took Teekl with him.[6]

Klarion ultimately overpowered his pursuer and restrained her in the Sacred Well Room of Marduk's Temple. Beta Squad, led by Nightwing, arrived on the scene, but Klarion's magic was too strong for them. He explained that he wanted to use his own magic to revive the alien weapon, but decided to siphon off Tula's instead.

In a lone building out in the middle of nowhere, Klarion argued with Teekl about the peculiar name of "Project Rutabaga" until he conceded he had chosen it himself. He turned to a chained young meta-human girl and used magic to activate her dormant Meta-Gene. Klarion was disappointed with her manifested meta-abilities, but regardless marked the girl with a branding iron as per protocol. Then he merged the girl's body with a monster composed of other meta-humans. Upon realizing he had run out of meta-teen stock for this project, Klarion threw a tantrum.

Klarion talked down to Zatanna, calling her a common stage magician and boasting that he was a Lord of Chaos. After he pondered how he could punish her, he realized he had been transported into the Tower of Fate. Panicked about the possibility of Doctor Fate finding them, Klarion teleported himself and Teekl away from the area.

Klarion teleported to the Fine Jewelry store in Manhattan and found Marvin Fargo's magically dissected and displayed corpse beside Zatanna and her students. Klarion was determined to kill them all, and despite them targeting Teekl was able to subdue them, creating clones of himself to strangle them all. However, a ringing sound summoned him away, forcing him to reconstitute himself and teleports to Child's summoning circle in Roanoke Island.[1]

While the world was magically split into two dimensions, one for adults and one for children, the bus was on a bridge. In both dimensions the bus teetered over the edge of the bridge. It was rescued by Rocket in the child dimension,[6] and by Icon in the adult dimension. Wondering who had decided to split the world in two, Klarion teleported both buses away shortly after.[36]

The bus arrived at the Old Salem Animal Shelter. After his companions brought out several cats from the shelter, all of which he rejected, Klarion selected a stray kitten who approached the bus. Klarion took on physical form once more and doted on his new familiar, before he and the magical heroes departed.

Klarion is a Lord of Chaos, and as such is a powerful magic user. According to Doctor Fate, he is chaos personified and cannot really be contained.[6] Much like Fate, he also faces the problem of needing an anchor in order to exist in the physical world, a role filled by his familiar, Teekl.[3]

Amity is described as bright and competitive. She attends magic school along with Willow, Gus, and (later) Luz, and is a part of the Abomination track. As the "Top Student" at Hexside, Amity is proud of her status as the best student in the entire school and goes as far as to use it as a bragging right. She looks down on other students who are not as successful as she is and teases them, as expressed greatly in her treatment of Willow in "I Was a Teenage Abomination". She does not take kindly to those who steal her spotlight and is somewhat the teacher's pet, seeing as how Principal Bump regards highly of her.

Since the library incident, Amity's family life on her siblings' side improves, thanks to Edric and Emira striving to be better siblings. Upon meeting Luz to return Azura's fifth book, the human tells her that she is enrolling at Hexside, but Amity tells her about the school entrance exam. Later, when Luz and Eda go to the Knee to practice for the entrance exam, they find Amity and her siblings are training in the same place. When Luz accidentally enrages a slitherbeast, Amity tries to cast a fireball with her training wand but runs out of energy, causing her siblings and Eda to be captured. Worried about her human friend, she summons a magical cage to prevent Luz from harming herself. Luz manages to free herself with the help of a newly discovered Ice Glyph and, while distracting the slithering beast, Amity frees the captives from the beast by conjuring flames without her training wand. Now that Luz knows two spells, she is guaranteed a place in the same grade as Amity.[9]

As Luz is theorizing about what Belos looks like under his mask, Amity comes over and says she heard rumors he was scarred by wild magic and calls Luz and sweet potato in Spanish. After revealing she has been learning Spanish from a cookbook Gus gave her, Amity asks how Luz's work on the portal is going. Luz says she has not used it yet and leaves when Eda arrives, forgetting her phone that Amity picks up. Having doubts on Luz's not using the portal, Amity goes to willow later and asks her what she should do, Willow gives her advice on the condition Amity braids her hair.

As Amity and Willow are wandering through the illusion, Amity learns everyone is in the Healing Homeroom and the girls head there. However whenever Willow tries to defend them, she beats Willow to it, annoying Willow. When they are cornered by scouts, the girls inadvertently cancel out each other's magic as Amity says she does not want to lose Willow as they have just started to be friends again. Willow then says she does not need protection as she fends off a scout. The girls are soon found by Bump, the illusions teacher, and her siblings and brought to the Healing Homeroom. Soon Hunter is brought in by Viney and Skara and he informs them that Adrian has Gus. As everyone wants to trade Hunter for Gus, Hunter tries to convince everyone he is on their side and Willow vouches for him after he mentions a breathing technique she taught Gus. They then devise a plan to save Gus. Amity and the other staff and students fend off the scouts with ease with her and Willow even taking down the captain. She and the others take care of an Abomaton Adrian brought with him as Hunter helps Gus. Soon, Adrian and the scouts are defeated and she and the others listen as Hunter reveals the truth of the Day of Unity.

The following day she, Willow, Vee, and Gus disguise themselves as humans head into town, with Hunter staying due to him cosplaying as a character from Cosmic Frontier. She briefly flirts with him before leaving. The group search around Gravesfield to no success. After searching a magic shop, the town library, and confronting a giraffe at the zoo. After finding nothing after hours of searching, Vee reluctantly takes the group to the Gravesfield Historical Society. After being welcomed by Vee's friend Masha, they tell the group that their map is a rebus and explains how it works. 041b061a72
